Susan Boyle
Listening to the new Susan Boyle album, Who I Was Born To Be – lovely beyond belief. Tears are welling as I reflect upon my pending demise and exit from teaching. My successor has been appointed and starts tomorrow, even before I’ve been officially told I’m out. Et Tu Brute!
Human life is the same in every age. We play out the same dramas and themes down the ages. We just use different technologies available to us but there is nothing new under the sun. Our human pride, prejudice, loves and hatreds just come out the same no matter what epoch we’re born into.
Well, for me the pressure’s about to come off. I will soon be a free agent!
Last Night In Cardiff
Wales V Australia at the Millennium Stadium, is but a stone’s throw away from the Parc Hotel where we are staying. There’s been loads of folk wearing Wales and Aussie colours all day and the kick off is at 5.00pm. That’s in just 25 minutes time. We will be going out for our meal then. Cardiff has been incredibly busy all day because of the big match.
We’ve been to the castle and museum- lovely.

Sunday Evening
Well it’s Sunday evening once more and the anxiety and stress go on. I have absolutely decided to leave teaching but it’s just a question of arranging the actual mechanics of it. I need to tie in the sick notes with my visit to Occupational Health. I am hoping Susan can arrange things so I don’t have to go back to the CLC at all. It would be just too painful.
